Mainroad Public Safety Announcement:

Summer time is the only dry time of year for our Mainroad Pavement Marking crews to get out on the roads across BC. We paint and touch up all road markings- giving  lanes, shoulders and intersections increased visibility, which leads to increased level of safety on the roads.

Last week our crews were on Highway #1 when a vehicle travelling at 100 km/hr crashed into the back of  our truck- the fourth vehicle in a long line of painting trucks, with high visability LED message boards on, full lights and safety cones in place. Our crew member was rushed to hospital with serious neck injuries.

Drivers, please take care on the roads this summer. When you see crews on the road, approach with caution- they are working hard for your safety out there. Please extend the courtesy to them as well.
